Button For Post New Thread

Please can we have a dedicated button "Post New Thread"?
As a new member I cannot find where to start a new thread or make a new post.

Hi Freya,

Once you choose the section you wish to post in there is a large button for starting new threads.

I guess however that you found it as you have posted a new thread.

Then there would need to be a subsequent prompt as to which actual forum you would like to start the new thread in.

You certainly can't post a new thread to "the discussion board".

No ... pick your pertinent forum first and then thread away ...

It could just be a drop-down above where you write the subject. Though that'd be dependent on the forum software.

I know where the button is now anyway, so no worries.

I’m not suggesting anything should be changed, just pointing out how if you simply went to the discussion boards you wouldn’t see a button straight away.

I only mentioned a solution because of what serfty said, and it’s not like that hasn’t been done on other boards, but it’s probably different forum software too.

It’s not hard to choose where you want to post your thread to first. Just a steeper learning curve for newer members.

As posted, select the forum you wish to post a new thread in.

Once you have the Forum page laoded, look to the upper left to see:

Click that and off you go.
