Well most offers of this kind normally don't start till October here. Their over US summer period. here when the summer months kick in.

I am on it with the US card so it was worth the struggle to establish a US credit rating to get my shiny American Express Gold Card.
My two American Express Ultimate cards are having time off while I am in America as paying stuff on an Australian card introduces surcharges.

Has Amex learned anything from last major promotion? Yes, put a limit on the bonus points earned? Is there a limit on spend? Assuming no limit on spend then for ~USD75 spend, or less, one can earn 50,000 bonus points.

This card is pretty exciting....it took me 32 years to think I needed to get set and the card surcharges made me apply for a US one instead of using my Australian cards.

Yes agree...Amex often seems to have a promo when Summer starts or just before...

Last year there were a few 5 point per $ offers....plus a few special promos for a quick 20K.

Prior to that the everyday spend promo

And the year prior the Electrical Stores 10 point $ bonus that was good fora quick 140K.


Ah.....how I love the Amex Summer Promos......and hopefully we will see something soon.
