Haven't checked JQ awards, but 3K awards works out roughly to be 0.6c AUD per point. As such, to get me excited, it would have to be in the tune of at least 75% off...

And only this may? It should be a constant thing, Classic JQ awards should NOT cost the same points as QF metal.

I got the 20%. Very odd, I haven't flown Jetstar since 2005 and don't intend to anytime soon

Got the 10%

must say i did once redeem for JQ...
PER-MEL-WLG, per-mel was on jq. redeye.

but when the difference is going and not going JQ is not so bad!!!

Got the 20%, deleted it instantly :p

But it does make me wonder... Why this promotion? On what basis targeting certain frequent flyers? And more so, why the heck offering a different discount % to different people on something that most people wouldn't want either way to begin with?

Looks just odd to me... Any thoughts?

Got it but agree not that useful..if it was 20% off JASA though that might actually be useful!

Just got a 10% off as well. Given the short timeframe and little benefit the offer has, think I'll be giving this one a miss also.

Perhaps it's an attempt to establish a baseline for what people would be prepared to spend on JQ Classic Awards. If so I would echo the sentiment around 50-75% less than QF classic awards!

We got 3 of these - one for a bronze person, one for a silver and one for a gold - the other silver and gold missed out. All at 20% off. Bit bizarre as we have only ever flown jetstar once, when a Qf award flight was changed to a jetstar one (when routes to NZ were changed to jetstar). no way would fly them again - they were OK, but having to pick up and check luggage in again in Sydney seriously annoyed me. All 3 e-mails went straght in the bin.

Got a 10% off email today and much like the other posters it was deleted after taking a moment to laugh...

Got the offer if it is indeed targeted. Not sure why though as they can clearly see my last 3 redemptions were JASA's that rewarded me favourably. Perhaps a hint that they don't like me anymore?


