  1. No annoying Flight Attendants (unlike those morons at VB). In fact, very few FA's at all!
  2. New aircraft - it gets tiresome flying the Qantas 767s knowing that their tails should have broken off 5 years ago.
  3. Good Seats (better than those faux leather VB horrors)
  4. Good Pitch / Bad Pitch. With such horrible pitch, it is impossible for the seat in front to recline on to the passenger behind.
  5. No inflight magazine provides a further 19mm legroom
  6. Only Credit Card (not cash) purchases are allowed for food/drinks. Whilst probably not legal, this actually results in faster service since children are bypassed.
  7. Strict 45 minute check-in cutoff times, results in more timely departures.
  8. Strict 45 minute check-in results in spare seats next to me
  9. On-line check-in (now in beta-testing) means 45 minute checkin not required (for passengers with no baggage)
  10. Limited cabin crew means that in the event of a crash, survivors will have less people to crawl over.
I have found myself wooed and won over by Tiger model. Don't believe the bad press, Tiger is GOLD.

That explains the fact that Tiger consistently comes last in on time rankings ;)

I would suggest you read the accident report about US Air 1493, it only takes two people to have a little argument to kill more than necessary, with less flight crew there is more chance of that happening, its called a stampede or herd mentality.

Mr!

:)

I've got one to add:

11. Amazingly good free entertainment in T4 when someone who thinks they are better than everyone else misses the 45 min cutoff and then decides to debate it with the terminal manager

Josh:p

Ah yes, and I can enjoy this one without actually having to use Tiger and then wander back to get on my QF flight.

13) They will stop flying your route in a months time

14. Roudy passengers prefer to save their money and fly TT, therefore you have less annoying pax on your next QF/DJ/JQ flight!
15. Avation fans will get to spend even more time at the airport. Because your flight is almost certainly delayed.

Received email this morning to say my 11.45am flight to Brisbane on the 21st June was cancelled and I was now on the 4:45pm flight. I just don't trust them as I have to be in Brisbane on this day. This would have been my first flight with Tiger, just to try them out.
Just have to love Tiger!!.

How did you go? I am seriously thinking about trying them out when QF and VA are too expensive.

I had a flight cancelled on me too, last Sunday. I thought I'd just test them out. ;) No communication until I got to the airport, of course. Had to spend a significant amount on a flight with DJ because TT only has two flights BNE-SYD on Sundays, both in the evening and mine was the later one.

The flight was cancelled due to the ash cloud. Took 3 days to get through on the phone and they just rebooked me for next Monday afternoon at no cost. could not change the flight online as it said the flight had departed.
Will report back on how the flight was when I get home on Tuesday night JohnK.

And here I was clicking on this thread thinking someone was giving me 10 reasons to love tiger beer... :(
