This is a particularly good deal in NewZealand, where the cost of staying in some hotels there is very small. I stayed one night in Quality Inn near Auckland airport for $68 AUD, room was nice enough and free airport shuttle and picked up 1000 points, not bad. You could just about call the room $58 with the points.

It took a couple of weeks to come through, but made it there in the end-

Are you referring to somehow double dipping or crediting stays at IHG properties to this QFF promotion.

With all the IHG bonus codes wouldn't most people be better off crediting these stays to Priority Club?

I can understand how this is a very good deal for other hotels.

This deal would allow you to credit to Priority Club and still get the bonus. Most people would have run out of codes as there are not many point only ones active thanks to CTC, given the double miles offer is in place a $150 stay would result in close to 2K of points with the bonus as a direct credit in miles.
