I need to book within the next 7 days!!

So what’s the odds of JQ releasing a StarClass sale after the 26th? ;) Am I thinking like them yet?

Award flight bookings do not qualify for points or extra points

Does that mean an (J)ASA in StarClass doesn’t earn?

Also, I must have missed the AKL to SIN announcement, that’d be a pretty good deal in StarClass when the sales are on!!

10k bonus for travelling JQ/3K Starclass

From Jetstar this afternoon. It's a short booking window to qualify for the bonus, but if you're looking to book in the next seven days during the qualifying travel periods - then it's worth consideration.

Do you get 20000 points for a return? or is it just one bonus?

I got the bonus last year on OOL-NRT *class sale, got 10k bonus for each leg (I think), it was 13 months ago so not on current activity statement.

But, I'm off to a conference in coughet in early Nov, so will book in next few days and let u know if I get one or two 10k bonuses...

You may need to book it as two one-ways to get the bonus twice. A little bit difficult with a Thailand destination though.

Booking two one-ways with Thailand as a destination should not be an issue with JQ.

I took advantage of the last JQ Halfclass extra points bonus on a trip to coughet last year. Despite the fact I actually travelled outside of their promotion window (March 2010), JQ still posted the 20,000 points into my QFF balance for the roundtrip. So for those not able to travel in the promo window, make sure you still register cos there's a good chance you'll get the bonus anyway.

When I try to make a *class booking with my Qantas FF number on the jetstar site (as I've done many times before) I get:

[InvalidProgramNumber] The Program Number provided is not valid. Verify the program number you typed for {/messagesBooking:BookingPassenger/messagesCommon:Name/messagesCommon:LastName}, {/messagesBooking:BookingPassenger/messagesCommon:Name/messagesCommon:FirstName} and try again.
Just removing the FF number and the booking can be done. :(

Not right JQ!

Happened with me earlier this year too. My flights were taken outside the valid dates but still received points.

I have been thinking about visiting a friend in Singapore next year so this afternoon I checked the Jetstar website and found MEL-SIN-MEL departing 17 May,return 24 May 2011 in * class for $683.94 each way, that's a seriously tempting fare especially with a bonus of 10,000 points on offer, just have to ring my mate to make sure he's not going to be away at the time and I'll book it.
Haven't flown *class yet so will be a good chance to try it.

It'll be a breeze on the way up; like Qantas economy with bigger seats and lounge access. It's a nice afternoon lunch flight.

On the back it's a little different being a red e-eye; the Millennium seats are comfy enough (personally I don't like the leather for sleeping on).

I'm seriously considering SIN-MEL one-way next year. I can book QF10 for SGD625 in V class or JQ8 for SGD898 *Class (~AUD500/AUD700).

I would earn 7500 QFF and 30SC's on QF 10, upgrade to W/J costs 25000/40000.

On JQ8 I'd earn 8500 QFF and 120 SC's + 10,000 bonus.

On a PE basis I'd be 36000 QFF points and 90 SC's better off for ~$200 more.

I think I know the answer. ;)
