Read in LL today that certain Oz Ibis Budget Properties are now participating in the ALL program. Not great for points as they are counted much lower than other brands but useful for status nights.

Can anyone confirm this based on experience?

Good to know.

I stayed at the Ibis Budget in Dubbo last year assuming it would reset the activity on my Accor ALL account and stop my points expiring (it didn't) but good that this is now changing. Agree, could be useful for status nights.

Who said anything about actually staying at one?🤣
Check in and then come back 2 months later to check out.
A few years ago I did similar at a Melbourne property but that was only for 8 days to get Platinum

Exactly what I was thinking.

It would appear that Australia isn't the only country where Ibis Budget hotels are part of the Accor All program. In particular, I draw you observant reader to Ibis budget hotels in Brazil:

Some of these rooms are relatively inexpensive (as little as $20/night) putting it in contention with some of the finer hotels one may find in downtown Las Vegas. I reckon Brazil ain't the only country which has Ibis Budgets offering ALL benefits, although a cursory look around Europe didn't reveal anything special.

Unfortunately the ALL website still lists Ibis Budget in Australia as not participating. Has anyone had recent experience where points/nights have credited successfully?

Untrue. You need to visit the individual property to see what benefits are offer. For instance, if you look at the Ibis Budget Newcastle it clearly shows that it is a participating property:

However, if we look at the Ibis Budget Sydney Airport, that's not the case:

Just going off this. Thanks team.

Part of the Accor website is inaccurate in terms of what hotels are part of the program. Indeed, there was an article on AFF two years ago discussing this discrepancy and noting how those who stay at participating properties did in fact receive stay credit.
