What is this? I've had a reward code show up on my Apple Wallet Qantas Frequent Flyer card.

Does anyone know what this is and what its used for?

I noticed the exact same thing early this afternoon and looked online and couldn't really find an answer. Would be interesting to know what it's about.

I've uploaded a mock-up of what it looks like... I dare not share the actual screenshot in case its a special discount code or some such (unlikely I know)

Nothing on mine (yet).

I just got this notification too and came here to see what's what in the what what. Will monitor this thread I guess.

Supposition.... QF pushed GO on Part B of a new "thing" when an as-yet-unsent email to customers was Part A. A left-hand right hand kinda thing.

I likewise have been the benefactor of a code and briefly thought someone was trying to hack my account – as if it was part of some 2-factor system.

It appears to be a PIN for using Qantas points at BP. Open the Qantas app, click on the small card icon at top right, then the small "i" circle. Then select "In Store". It says that the "Reward Code" is what you need to use Qantas points at BP.

If that's what it is, this is really unimpressive -- calling this a "Reward" when it's anything but.

Just got a push notification for this too and thought there’d been a hacking! I’ll use BP every now and then when they have decent bonuses for paying via the BPme app, but I’ve had a few instances where a transaction hasn’t triggered the Qantas points and I’ve had to email customer service. They end up crediting the points but it’s dodgey practice.

This is basically copying what Velocity did with BP previously.
