SQ Business Class deals from Europe to Australia

Singapore Airlines has some pretty good J fares available from Europe to Australia at the moment, e.g. Paris to Melbourne from €2,296 (AUD3,580) return. Sydney is also on sale.

Must book by 2 March and travel between 1 March-30 November 2022.

Obviously this is not available in the other direction. You need to actually start the trip in France!

Thanks for the heads up but unfortunately this is a little difficult to actually find Using their ‘fare search’ defunct in the first date you can get the advertised special is 19 April! (to MEL at least). And with a 19 April outbound the earliest return is 8, then 14 May. The first available date CDG-SYD is in May.

If this was Aussie consumer rules the effective dates would need to be changed to reflect the change in availability.

Sure, can be purchased by anyone, with any credit card, provided you depart from Paris. But see my previous post, availability could be the issue.

Yes… I’m using the monthly planner. There are at best half a dozen days in any one month available at the cheap prices, some months have a single day only, and some months have none at all

Any/all would work. You will be buying in Euros. If direct the conversion would be at the credit card level. If TA you should be given the option-experience would suggest paying in Euros still better

You mean CDG-MEL? There should be a longer connection as well (~4 hrs) to the later SIN-MEL flight, but that might not be available at the fare level I guess.

Oops yes I did. Changed my post! (MEL-CDG is 9+ hours, less fun...but the potential to go out and about if you take the 17hr option - more fun.)

Depending on rules, at the moment to leave the transit area (i.e. enter Singapore) you would need pre flight RAT/ART testing, be on specific VTL flights and apply for a Vaccinated Travel Pass to enter Singapore, otherwise you will be stuck airside for 17 hrs.

True enough. I think I was being optimistically hopeful that by mid-June that would no longer be the case. But better to be safe and take the 9hour option and have a sleep in the airside hotel! (Er, there IS an airside hotel...right?!)

Yes, there are two airside hotels operating at the moment. Book early, and beware they can be expensive. The new SQ lounge in T3 (IIRC) will have a nap area once the renovation is completed.

Real shame I was already going over in Jun/Jul so now I've made the return leg of that the opening leg of the Singapore Airline deal and I'll go back over in November.
