I am level 3, but can't work out where to nominate a member. Has the functionality not been enabled yet?
Same here. I thought I saw somewhere from April 1, but not sure where I saw it exactly.

Just wondering how people have gone trying to get a status match with Qantas in this way? Are they quite conservative with who gets offered the challenge and who doesn’t?

Bumping this thread - I applied for this program this week providing virgin platinum status and flying history via email. It is currently being reviewed by the relevant team, at least according to the response.

How long do they normally take to get an answer on if they will offer a challenge/match or not?

Out of interest, did you end up getting this approved?

Interesting - why do you say that?

At a VA platinum level vs Qantas Gold - economy X is really nice to have guaranteed vs having to rely on T-80. I am mostly on the triangle and find the food options in the lounge better than the Q-Pub. Gold also isn’t a big step up from club domestically only really adding priority boarding.

Then there is always the big one, QF stuff ups. Was stranded at 5am in the morning once due to a ticketing issue from a date change.

If I was doing more regional and international travel I’m sure the equation would be different, however for triangle plus limited international VA and SQ treats me just fine.

Mine got approved after literal months of waiting. I emailed QF Loyalty about it as soon as I reached VA Platinum in March, provided 6 months of flying history and a screenshot of my VA digital card, and they finally approved me in August.

Interestingly enough, QF counted my 50SC from green tier and the 70SC loyalty bonus towards my Gold Accelerator

For those who have completed the challenge before, does QF assess your status at the end of the challenge or as soon as you hit the 200 SCs threshold?

My membership year ends on 31 Jan. Say I begin the 90 day period on 8 Nov (so the challenge would end on 8 Feb)... will QF upgrade my status to gold as soon as I earn 200 SCs or after 8 Feb?

My thinking is that if I time the challenge correctly, I would have gold until 31 Jan 2027 (assuming they assess the eligibility after 8 Feb 2025). However if they assess eligibility as soon as I hit 200 SCs, I would be upgraded to gold prior to 31 Jan 2025 and would only have the status until 31 Jan 2026.

Hopefully not too far off topic but does anyone have any thoughts on a similar offer from VA?

hi guys, when you begin your challenge, does QF grant you 90 days QF Club membership as well? I got QF Club for 3 months but haven't got Gold status after reaching 200SC. I guess it is because the 200SC includes 50SC from Green Tier? And also does the SC earned from points redemption flights count as a Points Club member? Thanks.

From doing one of these if I remember you don't get the status upfront. It's only after you complete the challenge do you get given the gold status and yes SC from Points Club counts.

Hi there, I got my Gold status 1 day after the last SC posted when the flight landed. The rewards seat SC from Points Club benefit do count towards Accelerator Program as well as the Green Tier.
