4 Reasons You Might Transfer KrisFlyer Miles to Velocity is an article written by AFF editorial staff:

Reason 4b - moving points to VA means you can transfer and combine them. A colleague, his wife and 2 kids ended up with a bit over 5k SQ points each that were useless in SQ on their own. They transferred them to VA and combined them in one account to turn them into a domestic return flight for one person. They actually did this just before the last devaluation when the transfer rate was 1 - 1.35 but this logic still holds good at the 'enhanced' rate of 1 - 1.55.

Is there a way of moving Kris+ points to Velocity? I had the bad judgement to move my Krisflyer points over to there.

Kris+ points can't be moved to Krisflyer unless they are earned on Kris+ and it is within 7 days of earning. I have a few thousand points in Kris+ that were earned some time ago. AFAIK these cannot be moved to Krisflyer or Velocity normally. Just seeing if anyone knows a creative way of moving them, or purchasing points with Kris+

Points are currently in Kris+, not Krisflyer, and they cannot be moved to Krisflyer AFAIK.

Thanks , you are right as I misread that completely.

If you haven't transferred the KrisPay miles to KF in time, then they stay as KrisPay miles. Not the worst if you have transit or travel to SIN.

Thats what I thought. However, I'm not planning to visit SIN any time soon. :(

The ability to transfer KrisFlyer points to Velocity is broken for me at the moment. Can anyone make it work for them?

On the 'other ways to redeem points' page I can select 'airline partner' but not 'airline'. (Yes my KF and VFF accounts are supposed to be already linked).

After calls to both SQ and VA, I was finally able to transfer points online from KF to VFF. Still no idea why it was so much harder than it needed to be 🙄

Beware when attempting to do this - I attempted to move Krisflyer miles to Velocity some months back. End result - my miles disappeared, and calls to Krisflyer and VA call centres both have them pointing fingers at each other with no resolution in sight.

I wouldn't mind so much if one or the other airline just took ownership and talked to the other one to sort it out - it would be more efficient for all involved
