It is just such a shame that they cannot do basic airport stuff well:

  1. security screening is endlessly frustrating with lack of adjustment to passenger demand (no, it is NOT a lack of staff, they have staff available and open up additional lanes, but way too slowly),
  2. having bays ready for arriving aircraft and staff on hand to operate aerobridges, nothing more frustrating on a Friday night to arrive home and then be stuck waiting for the airport to get its act together

Now I think about it, a very typical CBR experience, ignore the fundamentals and focus on the optics and socials ...

M a a t e You just gota remember Canberra airport services the diplomatic community, of course it is going to look good. As for processing, well, just get yourself a diplomatic or foreign staff passport and I'd be pretty confident queues would no longer be a problem.

This is not my usual experience at CBR at all (it's my home airport). I tend to find out of all airports I travel through CBR is quick and polite.
Security even at 5am (they're busiest time) is quick and efficient. They now have food options airside (for the rare occasion I haven't had lounge). As an airport it's pretty good.

Only complaint (if you'd call it that) is it would be nice to get more airbridges on arrival (rather than always gate 14), I'd also love to see more large birds there, rather than just Dash 8's and 717s (on the QF side)

As for the facebook page, it's the only airport I follow :)

Just slightly OT - if flying Qatar out of Canberra which lounge do you use?

Never said it didn't, just stating that it's not my usual experience of CBR.
Of course this is going wildly off topic (unless the CBR social media manager is also responsible for airport efficiency)

What’s ‘booped’?

Can’t even squonx from the shizzle of the sentence. 🤪
