I find it trifling strange and no less troublesome that it appears quite a few airlines have interline agreements with Jetstar but Qantas does not. Am I wrong or have I missed something in my previous travels?

According to ExpertFlyer information, QF have an interline agreement with JQ, 3K and GK.

But if you look up JQ, QF not listed.

This is a data point about interlining - not sure where else to put it.

This morning at BKK when I checked in for SQ707 to SIN, where I am transiting to take QF1 to LHR, the check-in agent said he could interline my bags from SQ to QF at Changi, thereby avoiding the need for me to enter Singapore to collect my bags and then re-check them. So my bags are tagged to LHR. Fingers crossed that's where I see them again!

Later in the year we have the following transits. I'm wondering if there is any chance of our bags going all the way from BNE to ZUR or if we have to collect and re-lodge somewhere along the way.

PNR #1 SQ BNE- SIN 1:25layover SIN-BKK

Layover 11:25

PNR #2 QR BKK-DOH 3:25layover DOH-ZUR

Fairly sure they will get to BKK ok and ok from BKK to ZUR, but unsure about the BKK connection between PNRs and airlines.

Bags made it to LHR without issue. And priority tagging seemed to work at LHR - my bags were on the belt before I got to it (and there were no delays at immigration as the smart gate worked perfectly).

Looking to book multi city QF to HKG 24.5  hour layover then on Vietnam Airlines to SGN on same PNR.

Can I expect to have bags tagged through to SGN, noting not the same calendar day?
Of note, KLM did so from AMS-HKG-MEL(QF) with 36 hour layover in September 2023.

Fairly sure they will get to BKK ok and ok from BKK to ZUR, but unsure about the BKK connection between PNRs and airlines.

It can also depend on the length of any connections, if any connections are overnight (even short ones) and which airport it is. Some airports may not allow bags to be checked through on long connections if they don't have much storage capacity in their baggage system.
