After a 20 year absence, AF recently recommenced flying from CDG to MNL (nonstop) and return.

Frequency is three nights a week in each direction.

Using ITA Matrix, I was able to find J returns, flying into LHR (connecting short hop over the English channel) and returning 'open jaw' from a European port (via CDG) for under A$3600. Use the 'multi city' feature on ITA Matrix.

One has to search extensively as some days are more expensive than others.

Using AF has the advantage over Middle East carriers that require an intermediate stop in MCT.

AF's three days a week complements KL's four days a week AMS-TPE-MNL-TPE-AMS flights. However these seem to be mostly more expensive than using AF's nonstops from/to MNL.

Purchasing a PR ticket separately from MEL, SYD, BNE or PER return in J during a PR sale - next one probably around Philippine Independence Day in June 2025 - you should be able to travel J all the way to UK/Europe for about A$7000-7500 return. Philippine Airlines operates daily from Sydney and Brisbane, five days a week from MEL and three days a week from PER to MNL.

Thanks for sharing, that's not a bad find at all.
Any idea if the J cabin AF utilises for the CDG/MNL route is the new(est) cabin with privacy doors?
