I hope so. I've had one but it hasn't showed up yet and I have another 4 booked before the promo ends.....all of them for 1 day.

The taxes kills this deal for me.

Taxes for one way SYD-BKK/CNX award are ~AUD310 plus 46,750 KrisFlyer miles where as with United taxes are ~AUD90 and 30,000 MileagePlus miles.

One day rental from Hertz BNE airport tomorrow night costs ~AUD81 and earns 2,000 MileagePlus miles or Europcar costs ~AUD71 and earns 1,500 KrisFlyer miles.

Assuming a one-way business class SYD-BKK/CNX is valued at ~AUD800 including taxes that would make 2,000 MileagePlus miles worth ~AUD35 and 1,500 KrisFlyer miles worth ~AUD16.

MileagePlus slightly in front. Interesting to see that calculation for different routes.

Well I can answer these two issues.......
- One day rentals do qualify
- Australian rentals do qualify

This was for a CNS one day rental on 22nd June and it had not posted a few days ago but has now come in, so pretty good time frame to post (a fortnight maybe).
