Hi

I am travelling in September to Bkk (Jetstar *Class) then onto NYC (Cathay Economy). After my 1st flight I become Platinum. Now what are my chances of getting access to a First Class Lounge (I assume Cathay Pacific Wing/Pier) without a Platinum card. There is a 3 day difference in flights so I am hoping that my Jetstar points come through on my membership so the new status will show up on my boarding pass.

Any assistance would be much appreciated

ann

Take a print out of the summary screen and your existing card, they will check on their system.

Assuming your points post and your status gets updated you can get the airlines to reconfirm your FF number which should update your status.

Failing that a print of your QF account should help but is no guarantee...

I had a similiar experience late last year.I knew I had made explat but the miles had not posted when I set out for JFK to fly JAL to NRT.At checkin i was told that having made OWE I could go to the Flounge.I did have my printout and the last BP to argue my case but it wasnt needed.I would still do that though.

I haven't flown MEL-BKK on JQi for over a year.

Back then it took up to a week for the *Class points/SC's to post but they did; ex BKK I had to put in claims.

So keep the documentation and use as drron suggested.

I travel the MEL-BKK * class route quite frequently and the typical average wait for SC and points to come through is about 3 days. The quickest I have seen them processed is 2 days and the slowest is about 10 days. The issue is you cannot process an on line claim until 3 days after your segment. Take the print out and BP and I think you should hopefully be fine.

Thanks so much for your suggestions. Will definitely give it a go and hope for the best

Thanks
