I have recently received 2 DOUBLE STATUS CREDIT offers from qantas.

1) Book by end of November for Sydney Gold Coast which I thinkl a lot of other people got, PLUS

2) You are close to PLATINUM don't miss out, double Status credits for all flights booked, paid and travelled by 31st December

we already have 2 J trips to Bangkok for October so they won't qualify so guess we will have to do a mELB-SYD to get us over the line.

Obviously they are keen to push people up the Status ladder

And it still makes no sense pushing people up the status ladder.

Both lounges in SIN very full tonight so we obviously need them to turn people away....

Airline lounges are like tides......they come in & they go out!

IMO there is something exciting about a busy lounge - who want's to sit in a morgue:?:

I'd like to sit in a dark corner, puffing away on a cigar and warming a glass in my hand :p

Memories of the old whiskeys of the world bar at the CX lounge in HKG, sigh!

Didn't think any of us AFF's were old enough to remember those days;)

A lounge that is neither too quite, nor too busy, with all the quality offerings is the best equilibrium for me

Understand. I love going into a lounge to relax before a flight. A full lounge or a lounge full of selfish creeps is not my idea of relaxation.

Especially to that "woman" in the BKK CX Lounge this morning who thought it was OK to have a 1-+ minute phone conversation in Cantonese screaming/talking at the top of her lungs.

Offer expires: 18 Mar 2025

- Earn up to 100,000 bonus Qantas Points*
- Enjoy an annual $450 Qantas travel credit
