Hi guys,

I remember Velocity had a 25% credit card transfer bonus offer around August, September last year. I thought it was a great offer, my father took the advantage and transferred enough bonus points to even get a extra free flight. I wish to take advantage of similar offer should there be one, what is the chance Velocity will offer a similar offer this year? I remember someone said Velocity offers this type of offer almost every year.

Cheers guys

Wow - that would be awesome as I'm about to get a whole heap of Amex Membership Rewards points

These velocity transfer bonus offers seemed to be quite a frequent occurrence for a while, but seem to have dried up more recently. I am not sure if this reflects a changing business model.

Unfortunately it seems impossible to forecast when these things will happen. I've got a load of Amex points I'm sitting on waiting for one of these deals to come up. But as Bofter said, it used to occur fairly regularly but I can't recall seeing one for awhile.

Also, with the new launch of their own branded Amex they may be holding off.

Wasnt it 50% a couple years ago? That be great again.
The only time I ever saw 50% bonus when when Virgin actually launched the V Australia.

I remember transferring 240,000pts from AMEX which converted to 360,000 Velocity points. Velocity program showed 180,000pts required to redeem J seat MEL-LAX-MEL - so I figured I would get 2 x return J flts for 240,000pts - good use I figured.

Best bonus I ever saw since then was 25%.

Possibly they might do another offer when they relaunch Velocity later this year.

I hope there will be another 25% points bonus later this year, I have a lot of points to transfer into Velocity. Particularly those points from citibank, as I mistakenly believed each citibank point is equal to 1 velocity point. 25% bonus offer would offset that difference.
