AAdvantage Bonus Mile Offer Terms and Conditions
To qualify for this AAdvantage bonus mile offer, member must initiate the AAdvantage mileage conversions with participating eligible AAdvantage program hotel participants between 12:00 a.m. CT February 19, 2014, and 11:59 p.m. CT March 31, 2014 (the “Promotion Period”), and be in good standing in the AAdvantage program. Members can convert multiple times with multiple hotel participants.


To earn the 25% conversion bonus, member must convert points from participating eligible AAdvantage program hotel participants. Conversions for hotel and air packages from eligible AAdvantage hotel participants are excluded from this offer. This offer is non-transferable and non-reversible.


Bonus miles will be posted by American Airlines to the qualifying AAdvantage member's account within seven business days after the initial conversion activity has been posted by the participating eligible hotel program participant. Bonus miles earned in this promotion do not count toward elite status qualification.

Carlson Rezidor Hotels conversion was 50k to 8k until very recently, and then some promotion giving you 50k to 6.5k still makes you worse off than the original Carlson Rezidor Hotels conversion a few weeks ago, I guess that it is just a general trend where miles and points are always falling in value.
 
looks like a good use of some orphaned Marriott points I have, and I am unlikely to stay at another Marriott before their 24 months validity expires.
