I've now done it twice this trip - gotten a cash advance on my 28 Degree card, when I'd meant to put in my Citibank Debit MasterCard.

I suspect because my mind was partly scrambled by jetlag and by heat, and because they are both blue. In the Italian ATM I got a double whammy - charged 3% by both the Italian bank and by 28 Degrees.

I have gotten a big black marker and scrawled CASH on the Citibank card and NO ATM on the 28 Degree card.
Cheers,
Renato

I have confused the two before as well. I like the marker idea.

And the Citibank Rewards credit card looks about 95% identical to the Citibank Plus debit card!

I really have to pay attention to those two!

I have previously written a big "D" on my Citibank Debit card ;)

I wrote 28 Degrees in big white writing on one, and Citibank in white writing on the other and that works for me.

Thanks everyone.
Glad to see I'm not the only one having this issue with the two cards.
Cheers,
Renato

If you can transact without realising, I assume you have the same PIN for both cards. Maybe have a different PIN for each?

That way even if you insert the wrong one it will not transact.

Good point, thanks.

Though it does lead to the problem of possibly forgetting my PIN on cards I only use for overseas.

Citibank PIN = 2274 (CASH)
28 Degree PIN = 9286 (xATM)

I'd only really need to do that for the Citibank PIN, and remember I'd done it.
Thanks.
Cheers,
Renato
