As penegal does not land in Syd til 730pm Wed 14th Dec, I propose somewhere TBD in the CBD near his hotel around 830pm...when he tells me where he is staying . All are welcome...

I rather foolishly cancelled my reservation at my usual hotel, but have emailed them. I currently have a reservation at the [new] Hyatt Regency, although may change if a better offer is forthcoming elsewhere.

The Hyatt Regency is in Sussex Street near China Town so if you stay there we could meet you there and then decide a dinner venue....ps pm me your mobile so we can always push it back a little if you are running late

I had a speculative reservation which I foolishly cancelled. Property now showing fully sold out

HSYD is also showing silly rates for Wednesday check in.

I now have a room at PHS and have cancelled HRS.

Noting that The Rocks may not be convenient for all, I am happy to pop on a train if that helps location wise.

Ok...i suggest we meet penegal at the foyer of the Park Hyatt (location map below) at 830pm....and we can decide where we want to go for dinner then. I'll have a think about some options tomorrow during the day...one option is to go to penegal's room and order room service whilst overlooking the Opera House!!! Not sure how many will front up after our rather late night tonight!...pls post your intentions here or sms me

The F&B options at the Park Hyatt are excellent, however happy to go for a walk to get something more "affordable".

Flight was only marginally late, but there is some kind of train disruption at Wolli Creek and the taxi rank line is a mile long so I'm in an uber vehicle (via Green pickup) now.

Well a very pleasant evening has come to an end.....just the 3 of us but nice fusion Japanese food and conversation ....we called an early nite so Penegal can put in a full day's work tomorrow!
