3 more sectors - most economic option?

Hi all,

I need to fly 3 additional sectors before July 10 to maintain Platinum status.

I'm based in MEL and was looking at MEL-CBR-OOL-MEL to earn these 3 sectors at a fairly low price. Have any AFF members found better options for flying a few sectors (better in terms of time and/or cost)?

I'm getting $287.30 for the OP's MEL-CBR-OOL-MEL routing. Seems pretty good to me - I haven't been able to find anything better.

OK - I'll ask the dumb question. If all you need is 3 QF sectors to maintain WP, I assume that you have the required SC's - yes?

So, who have you been flying with to get the SC's but NOT the sectors and why haven't you done the required 3 sectors on QF?

VA not QF
The 8 sector requirrment for WP together with lower SC target and family pooling mean this isn't an uncommon situation

I believe that the OP needs VA sectors... (and IIRC you need 8 for WP)

But their situation is not unique depending one any individuals flying patterns

I had over 500 sc but only two sectors; it's easily done on VA.

You got me. I didn't read everything - had a boys look! Having never set foot inside a VA aircraft (I have QF LTG) I just assumed we were talking about QF

Yep super easy to do - a single family pooled return trip to London on SQ's Flexi Saver Economy saw me requal for Gold last year (on the way to hitting Platinum) with no eligible sectors.
