I'm currently 3 nights off keeping my Diamond status and already have 5 upcoming nights before the end of the year. I'm based on the Gold Coast so luckily have the option of Surfers Paradise or Brisbane, however I don't have any need to travel for the rest of the month and will be purely staying just to prequalify for diamond. Is there likelihood that Hilton would just push me over the mark if i fell 1-2 nights short? Otherwise does anyone have any recommendations to hit 3 more nights as the lowest cost?

Do point stays count towards your required nights? I have 620k to burn but have been saving those for a decent trip next year.

FWIW my stays from last year have rolled over to 2019 so that's no an option for 2020 unfortunately.

Cheers!

What are the Benefits of Diamond for another year worth to you?

Would you consider dropping to Gold and at least getting free breakfast for 2020. If you get back to Diamond next year you would have it until end of March 2022.

Stays using points count and if only 3 nights away I would make it happen. I would not count on Hilton giving you any leeway and at best they may offer a fast track back to diamond.

No chance of being comped. 😩

Yes, points stays will count. 😀

I would be taking a mini-break, or two, to keep Diamond.

A few months back I needed 18 stays and contemplated staying once a week to keep diamond as Sydney does not offer Golds breakfast downstairs. Decided it was cheaper to get my partner Platinum with Virgin and get diamond for 2 years at a 1/4 of the price.

Yes, an extra 18 stays might be a bridge too far.

Point stays count.
Within the region cheap Hilton's in Malaysia and Indonesia, but flights at this time of year may not be

Do you meet the requirements for Diamond Status Extension D7779BAD-EAB5-4FD9-A87D-FC09CBFAB98F.png

On that note, the HGI at DPS is 5,000 points per night. Complementary hotel shuttle to/from the HGI (500m away). Is your passport still in (almost) pristine condition? 😀

Edit: For the 3 nights that you need, this may be a cost effective option, airfare dependent. So, feel like another trip back to Bali?

Thanks for all the suggestions. I looked into the DPS option but with minimal time in between work these next few weeks I opted for 2 SP and 1 BNE stay. Rates were around the $177 p/n mark so not too bad. I booked the BNE night with points too (35k) to ease the pain a little!
