The Avocado Toast was so hard that it was nearly impossible to cut with a knife.
I just had the avocado toast coming into Santiago and I would have to agree with him. It was impossible to cut the underlying toast with a knife. I tried first off and was pressing so hard down on the plate to try to get traction but I had to stop because I thought the whole table might collapse.
Although I must equally say that part of the problem is probably with the knife, which was as blunt as blunt could be. I ended up putting the tomato garnish to one side, picking up the toast and eating it as it was.
