I was flicking through the AA store looking for sweet spots and came across a 6500 mile reward for signing up to a GoToMeeting product.

We have this for work, and it needs to be renewed, but I was wondering if anyone had seen/used this before and knew if the US product is something that could either be used practically for Australian call-ins, or would even be valid with an account (i.e. contact emails) already in the GTM system? The US plans are USD49.00/month compared to AUD71.50.

Looks like a pretty nice sweet spot.

Hi,

Basic question - where do I find the AA Mall and do you have to login through your Aadvantage account or something else to ensure credit?

Thanks,
Dale.

Hi Dale,

Link is here: https://www.aadvantageeshopping.com/

It works the same way as the Virgin shopping mall. You log in with your details and click the link in the mall. It uses cookies to track your purchases. I've found it works quite well and is easy - though I use the VA site more than AA due to the fact that most AA shops have no Australia presence.

One problem I do find is that often it is the just the US sites that are eligible (e.g. I wanted to buy a computer through Dell, but couldn't as it redirected to Aus site and points were only for US site), so didn't know how the GTM thing worked on this front.

The fine print is that if you cancel within 120 days, you're not eligible for the 6500 miles. That's $196 for 6500 points, which isn't amazing really (or do you have evidence of points crediting without the 120 day wait ;)).

We already use GoToMeeting for an organisation I administrate. Our renewal was up anyway so I needed to renew a contract anyway. Unfortunately this seems to be for the US version (which actually is $10-15/mo cheaper) only and I'm not sure if we can get the same functionality as we currently do using the Australian version (i.e. free national call in numbers).
