Looking for award classic flights 9jan 2013. My understanding is that T-353 will be 21st of Jan this year for opening of seats. Is it actually that reliable? I think they are open already to early jan 2013. And what time do they open? I cant believe how the seats literally are taken up within hours- you see them disappear from the search if you go back half an hour later - or less!

On qantas.com it's midnight UTC, so later this month it should be after 11am in Melbourne/Sydney and 10am In Brisbane.

There are reports of the availability being there earlier in the day if you call up and are prepared to pay the assisted award booking fee.
