We have one full day in Nairobi (two nights) on Monday August 6th before departing on a safari for 12 days and no time in the city following the safari..

Before arriving in Nairobi we will have travelled for more than 30 hours so we are looking for something not too taxing.

Also I'm presuming we are going to see plenty of animals on safari so not really interested in Elephant and Giraffe parks etc.

I've had a bit of a look online and all the tourist focused tours for sale online from Australia seem very poor value for money and aimed at tacky tourist haunts.

Perhaps a private driver or reliable taxi to drive us around the city for a half day, orientation, landmarks etc?

Any tips, hints, tricks, traps, contacts would be appreciated.
