Hi guys,

Just wondering..

1. Have reached Platinum with reassessment date in Nov 2024. If requalify say July 2024, would next assessment date be July 2025? or Nov 2025?
2. The hotel and car rental perks is once off life time thing isnt it.
3. Soft landings to gold still exists?

Thanks in adv :)

I have been Platinum for ten years if they had a better LTP qualification then Qantas I would fly them more. they have none now.

Same here - 10 years Plat really should get some sort of lifetime benefit. Dangling a carrot never hurts.

I have a Lifetime Star Gold for flying near 2 million real miles on United (and being 1K for 10 or 15 years) and my partner gets the same card as another side Bennie.

If not LTG or LTP on VA there are other incentives they could offer… for example every additional 1000 SCs extends your status by another year. Or whatever… even 1500 SCs. But no.. they’re not really interested in retaining members me thinks.

The main benefit of status is ‘fly forward’, but given the severe delays over the last 6-8 months that benefit is almost meaningless. My ‘fly forward’ the other day left two flights after my original scheduled departure.
