So @JohnM, your Ghan trip report was so enjoyable that we have just jumped in and booked our own Ghan experience for June next year, travelling Adelaide to Darwin.

It is in the gold class cabins, but includes a five day break in the middle with Outback Spirit to West MacDonald ranges and Uluru.
