I have been a member here for 11 years and never properly introduced myself. I think as this is now my 10,000th post it’s about time I rectified that 😂

I’m a Public Hospital Dr in NSW. Originally born and raised in the UK (Scotland) and came to Australia on a year long working holiday in 1998. That turned out a little longer than I planned and here I am. I found and joined AFF in 2009, around the time I started to do more work travel. I was pretty much hooked instantly, and warmly welcomed by @straitman and @serfty amongst others. There was lots to learn and I read avidly and gradually began to contribute where I could.
I attended my first event within a year of joining. Initially it felt bit weird meeting strangers from the Internet, but many of those strangers are now true and valued friends. I can honestly say that I have gained far more from my membership here than I have given. I would encourage you all to try to get to one of our events once Covid-19 is over. 2020 what a year to be alive !!!

Looking forward to being around for my next 10,000 posts.

Cheers all x

AFF wouldn't be the same without you. For your sake, I hope first class seats continue to be available. Happy flying!
