Have got a status run coming up, SYD-MEL-HBA-MEL-SYD all in the one day. Can anyone tell me what happens when I check myself in with a smart card membership card via a card reader at SYD? Does this check me in to MEL only or through to HBA or the return journey as well?

If it is all on the one ticket, you should be checked in for all your flights..

I tried to check in using the pole in HBA before my status run and it told me took seek assistance from an agent

The agent's explaination was that there were too many sectors in the booking and it (NGCI) just couldn't cope

I'm still not 100% on how many sectors is too many (I had 7)

From my experience - it has kittens at 4 flights. It will check you in but it won't read as checked in. But when you go to the service agent they say "you are already checked in." makes it super fun!

why wouldn't you check in online in advance. if you have a NGCI card you don't need printed BPs
