Married with 4 kids, the youngest hit 8 last year and we did our first trip. BNE/LA/Disneyland/NY/Harry Potter World/SF/LA/BNE over almost 4 weeks. I have bad back/knees so only travel Business
on the rare occasion I fly. Luckily, someone advised me I should join QFF, so picked up a load of SC. Adding a quick flight to Sydney got me my fourth leg and Gold.
I thought a good way to find out how to use FF was ring QFF. Wow, so many had absolutely no idea how it worked, so I put it on the back burner.Then my brother decides they will have their wedding in Ibiza, Spain, oh, and are we coming? Spent a lot of time prowling the forums in the last month and my head is ready to explode.
Most of you would probably cry if you saw how many points we wasted on $20 cards. Still have over 1m CBA award points sitting there, which I can convert to Velocity but not back to QFF(at 2:1). (Have CBA Diamond cards). Changed to QFF after reading here. First month just rolled in, 37k. I just found out I also get gold at SPG rewards because of cards (thanks forum for all those points).
We are going to London/Ibiza/Rome/Paris in Sept/Oct. For my wife's 40th, shouting her (&me) F Syd-LHR on A380, kids will be couple of rows back in Y.
Here is my problem (amongst many others
). My anniversary date is 30 Sept. I have 800 SC already. BNE-SYD J = 40 points, SYD-LHR F = 420 points (arrive 18 Sept) Total points 1260. So I need another 140 to hit WP. 1200 for the subsequent years will be a lot easier. Ideas? Cheaper is better but not a major driver.
