I was in Singapore recently enjoying the delights of the Silver lounge on my J travels. When I entered the lounge they just did a visual on my BP to check that I had a flight that day.

My colleague was travelling Y and was sitting it out enjoying the free passing parade of Changi T3.

After I had been out to do my shopping when I re-entered the lounge I noticed that they no longer checked my BP, just welcomed me back. I had made a point of getting recognised by the wonderful lounge ladies. The SQ lounge ladies are certainly not dragons.

It would be possible to loan a a J boarding pass to a colleague and allow them to enter the lounge. At a similar time, it would be possible for the original person - me - to renter without a boarding pass. Two people in the lounge,a J pax and a guest.

Hypothetically, of course. ;)

I agree with the level of service. Recently, whilst traveling back from Bkk, we entered SKL at Bkk Airport. The service was just as described, the lounge ladies did a quick visual BP inspection, from then on it was Mr. xx_ and Ms. xx_ right until we left for our flight.

What's even more impressive was that my other half left a bag of duty free in the lounge, we did not realise it until one of the FFA handed the missing bag to my GF and said: "Ms xx_, you left your shopping in the lounge, would you like me to store it away for you?". Thankfully, my gf remembered to take the shopping with her when we left the plane.

While in the lounge it is also amazing how quickly they deal with keeping the lounge clean and tidy. Put an empty glass down and it is gone, empy plate - gone. Very good service indeed.
