I have just boarded qf597 Bne to Perth. I'm a regular on this route but 1st time on the a330 200
I considered upgrading from y, but decided to sit happy in 23 with legroom.
I am so happy I did, I cannot believe the business cabin! Not a whit of difference from y.
Way to go premium airline!!! What are qf playing at!

You have VH-EBO one of the newer craft (at 11 months old); seat pitch in J AT 37" is a shocker (for a "premium product") - QANTAS really stuffed up with this configuration.

(At least QF have decided not to sell the middle Business class seat (E) for the time being.)

What about if they refit the domestic configuration a330s with some of the 1st generation skybeds that are on a slope like the international config a330s?

They could use ex-747 ones.....

There are weight issues with the skybeds and the A330's.

EBO and EBP are real stuff ups in terms of the J offering. Hopefully the seats will be re-fitted soon. QF acknowledged they stuffed it up at least.

Is this true of the newer domestic birds? The international 330's seem ok with the skybeds.

As for the stuff up, the only reason they are being changed is virgin.

You only have to look at the difference in the J configuration on the A340 LAN SYD-AKL compared with the A330 QF MEL-PER, to decide which is better value for money for a similar duration flight. (I appreciate that LAN does then go to SCL- just sayin' that we have chalk and cheese for the price).

I thought the problem with Skybeds and the 332's were limited to the first 332's QF received. It had something to do with the floor needing re-inforcement to be able to hold the sky beds. All these original 332's have left the fleet with EBJ being the original.

I do not know if EBM onwards have the same issues.

but virgin is running 2x3x3 with no middle seat blocking.
admit the seat pitch is far more generous however
