Just a quick one if anyone knew off the top of their heads whether QF has any -300's on the Syd-Per-Syd routes at all.... All I can see is the -200's.... Thanks

I'm only aware of the A333s servicing the daily QF566 to SYD @ 16:15 WST. Then returning to PER as QF577 @ 12:00 EST next day.

Where possible I try to make my business / travel arrangements so I fly on the A333.

Thanks for the pointer, found the -300 on

Syd-Per
Sun-Thurs only 12pm QF577
and
Per-Syd
Sun-Thurs only 15:15 QF566

Hopefully this holds for a couple more months for me when I travel!!

More inclined to think the aircraft would do QF577 SYD-PER, returning to SYD as QF566 the same day.

Yes, I am sure this is the case as well. What is the maximum number of hours the operating crew can do on this trip in one go? Do they fly over on QF577 and then back on QF566 in the same day?

I'm on the route monthly of late and have only had the 333 once. I can't recall the flight but it made a big difference to the enjoyment factor. I guess that's just the individual IFE.

Wish QF575 (0810 SYD-PER) would go 333 as that's my normal flight.

Yes I wish the 333 was on a more business friendly departure but oh well i'll be 'unavailable' that AM to travel until the 333 flight at 12

I guess that means the IFE is fully usable on the Perth flight? I had a 333 for a SYD-MEL flight recently, and thought it was great to have the IFE. When I switched it on after take-off I could select a show to watch and all seemed great. But as soon as they started the "PM News" telecast, the IFE showed the message "Video announcement in progress" and the IFE could not be used. That was okay during the news, but once the infomercial on the new "I still call Australia home" started, and you could still not switch to something else I was most disappointed :(. Even worse, you could not even switch to the audio system instead .
Oh well, just when I thought I was getting a bonus, it turned out to be worse than usual.

Hi all,

Just got off Syd-Per and was a A333. Always is a A333 on Mondays at 6.10am.

Plane then goes PER-SIN-PER and returns to Sydney as the 4.15pm flight on a Tuesday.

I believe that is about to change with QF565 on the Monday mornings. I am looking in October, and from what I can see it has changed to a B763. The flight that is operated by an A333 on a Monday is QF577 that departs at 12:00. The sole A333 flight on the Tuesday seems to be QF566, which departs PER at 15:15.

Yep! I managed to get the A333 twice last week on PER-SYD-PER and both times it was fully usable - turned on just after takeoff. I managed to watch 2 full movies and some TV episodes on the 5 hour trip home.

The Tuesday return is a time change due to daylight saving starting in the real world and Perth being left behind.

I have not noticed the change in QF565.

5th of October is the 1st date that the qf booking system shows QF565 as a 763
