Hello all,

I am due to become SG on the morning of the 7th of Jan flying AA, following which I have a 12 hour layover in JFK.

How long do AA miles take to post to QF and what are my chances of gaining access to any lounge(s) in JFK and LHR on that and the next day? Will they let me do the whole shebang where I show my printed out summary from QFF and then show them my boarding passes to add to my status credit balance to show them that I really did cross the SG line?

Also, will QF honour my 50% bonus points for flights that I take before the said miles are posted?

Thanks

They post quite quickly IME, but not quite that quickly. A day or two usually for me (you never know, you may get lucky and have them post quicker).

You could certainly try what you say, don't know if it will work but good luck with it (and let us know the outcome).

Not sure what you mean by the last question. The correct bonus points (25% for PS, 50% for SG, 100% for WP) usually post IME, at the time the flight is posted to your account.

Oh, and congratulations on your impending fatherh...sorry, SG-hood! :)

Thank you for clearing that up for me. :D

With the last question I meant - if I take a flight after I have theoretically become SG, but QFF still has me on file PS, meaning that it will say OW Ruby on my boarding pass and all - will I get 50% extra because I had already become SG at that time, or will I get 25% because the system still thought I was PS when I took the flight?

They may still post at 25%, however when you cross the 700 SC mark you should get backdated entries for the additional 25%.
