So I was just reviewing my draft itinerary for march and only just noticed that my LAS-LAX-SFO segments are both the same flight - AA1707.

I think I already know the answer - that I need to change to separate flight numbers if I want the full SC earn..... But happy to be corrected....

If your ticket shows "LAS-SFO" then that's what you'll be credited for.

If "LAS-xLAX-SFO" then probably LAS-LAX and LAX-SFO

It shows SJU-MIA-ORD-LAS-LAX-SFO ;)

(with the last two segments sharing the same flight #)

I have read on here that someone did this and they were only credited for the direct flight, even though there was a transit. I would consider changing to separate flight numbers if possible... can't find the link though.

The darn multi-city booking engine doesn't make this easy ;)

Aarrgghhhh!

It's a real YMMV on this; if same date then anything can happen.

I have formed the opinion that crediting to QFF from AA flights is done manually - it's a bit hard to automate some things.

e.g. The A fare bucket represents First class. It can be award, it can be upgrade and it can be revenue.

Thanks guys.

I will see if I can make it work with separate flight numbers. If not - i'll see how it goes and report back :)
