Accessing AA Lounge without FF Card

I've recently turned SC after being a loyal QC member for the last years. As I live in the States I don't expect my new card to arrive too soon. I've got a couple of domestic and international flights lined up and would like to use the AA lounges when I fly. However, I'm a bit scared that I won't get into the lounges without the having the right card on me and I've had some "not so niceevil" experiences with the AA ladies before. Do the AA dragons usually insist on seeing the card even though the status is printed on the BP or will they just let me in? Is it worth taking my QC card or a printout of my FF account with me?

In my experience, its generally enough to have it printed on the boarding pass. But my experience is mostly at ports where Qantas flights/passengers are common (e.g. LAX, DFW etc).

If your status is on the BP you should be fine - my BP has been enough to get into AA lounges including LAX, SFO, DFW and AUS.

Of course I had my trusty card in my wallet just in case (except for accessing the F lounge in LAX T4 soon after turning Platinum - I couldn't get in less than a week after turning Platinum but when I returned a few days later I could).

I would take the print out just in case - it can't hurt to have it. I don't recall having to show my card previously.

I visited a number of AA lounges in December, and never showed my card. I didn't have my WP card with me as I'd just attained the status, and no issue.
