Hi AFFers,

I'm sure its been discussed before but I thought I might mention it as I think its a great deal (IMHO).

I've seen the JQ price beat guarantee advertised a fair bit but never thought to use it (as most of my travels are on the company anyways so who cares)...

Have to go down to MEL for personal reasons...

JQ35 departing from T1 Sydney was $99 and I saw tiger was $50 (I wouldn't fly with them if its was $10...there's another story)......JQ was willing to beat it by 10% without any hesitation

I'm gonna get there early for a massage, rockpool lunch, and enjoy some fine wine/champagne....i think i'm definitely in-front here.

With the return flight, it was the same deal with the price beat guarantee. With high frequency of JQ flights and a few tiger flights during the peak periods- you can get cheap flights with out compromise.

"Happy flying!"

Yep,

As a WP you will get the Flounge treatment.

Spa might be booked out but try on the day.

I did it for one of Flounge runs in Jan

Personally I really try to avoid J* where possible. I figure the more we use them the more the OC (Orange Cancer) spreads and the flying Red Roo dies a little bit more each time. One day the Flying Red Roo will be too sick to carry us little joeys in her pouch. :(

P.S To whomever coined the phrase "Orange Cancer" ... well done. EVerytime I see a J* plane, or see the logo, my little 'ol brain now does an immediate swap to OC.

They can't be making that much money out of us flying on the SYD-MEL vv routes after they take into account what we eat and drink in the F lounge, unless they have some creative accounting where JQ doesn't pay QF when their pax use the lounge. Wouldn't be surprised, but I'm sure they take note of what it costs them.

Given the state of the books, I think they just charge it to QF int while the revenue goes to JQ.

nice deal! out of curiosity -- what are the timings of this JQ flight?
