So whilst I like most of the Accor hotels I stay at regularly, I find the A|Club program patchy at best. There have been many reports both on here and Flyertalk about having to chase to get points, and benefits given sparingly.

I attempted on three occasions between October 08 and April 09 to transfer chunks of my accumulated points to QFF, only for the transfer to seemingly not happen. I complained to A|Club about the issue, and told them that if they couldn't manage to transfer the points, then to forget it and took vouchers (totalling US$600) instead.

However, logging into my QFF account today, guess what I see? Yup, the missing points over a year after I first tried transferring!

Happy birthday A|Club points!

Now, time to listen to my conscience. Do I let them know of my good fortune......

I joined Accor Advantage Plus a few years but have found that over time it's become less and less beneficial. I won't be renewing next year.

And I've never been overly thrilled by A|Club as a loyalty program. Just doesn't seem to stack up compared to the others.

In fact, I never received my A|Club card (i.e. it appears Advantage Plus never activated the membership).

I say enjoy the bonus - makes up for the points I never received!

Havn't had much luck with A/Club either, still awaiting points from a four day stay at Olims in CBR from earlier this year, so I just use Advantage plus now days ( foundation member from '95) the discounts and dinning are good deals, and I use the "freebies" for special nights at Sofitel and upgrade to The Club for all the extra goodies. Used the last freebie in BKK at Novotel A/Port, and was upgraded to their Club area with all the extras as at Sofital...............

Cheers Dee

It's only () the equivalent of a BNE-SYD return, but it's free!

And who am I to argue, seeing as I specifically asked them to not transfer the points after all!

I've been waiting since 14 September for A Club to transfer my points to QFF. Looks like I might be waiting several months more before it finally happens, if ever.

I wouldn't start thinking about making any award bookings on the basis of those points for another 9 months yet!

Seriously though, maybe this represents the "ironing out" of the system issues that a|club clearly have, and that everything will be smooth running from here.

And maybe I'll grow a third leg and be elected the President of the US .

I have seen posts from FT where everyone complains about A Club not posting points for a while now. I will hold back using A Club until I see FTers posting good reports .... For now I will stick with PriorityClub which has been very good to me with their PointBreaks.

I joined A-Club when they had the bonuss 2000 points for signup. Got me a $60 USD voucher.

Will see how the points accrue on my stays next year. The earn rate for QFF aint so good though.

My points have turned up in my QFF account!

Maybe they have turned the corner then, and are going to the a|club into a slick, customer focussed program from the chaos that it is now.

And perhaps I may win the Lotto on saturday. :D

Was that a pig just flying past my window.

I transferred 4000 points over mid November 09 and within 4 weeks they have appeared in my QFF account, so maybe they are running on time now.

After doing a little research I have also come to the conclusion that A|Club is not that good as far as loyalty programs go.

I just saw this thread, and it is probably a better place to express myself than the Accor A|Club Thread, where I posted message #79 and another today about my problems with AdvantagePlus.

I second those who say that AdvantagePlus is useless. My fingers have been badly burnt and I would strongly recommend against any membership where you pay any money to Accor for "Benefits". The "Benefits" have so many strings attached and, unless you stay at Accor hotels regularly, you will probably be better off in the long run picking up hotel deals on wotif or hotels.
