Hi all, Accor is my group of choice but since they got rid of Mercure Launie and Hobart there's really not much choice in Tassie.

Anyone got any news on any new properties they may be opening soon?

Nothing specific but I spoke to an Accor rep who I wouldn't say is in the know but he did say that he had heard a few folks talk about dissapointment of not having more properties in Tassie; particularly a Pullman given the recent Restaurants Australia launch there which was so food driven and would be a nice tie-in with Pullman's gourmet culture theme.

Nothing definitive though ..just a coughtail conversation... maybe too many coughtails!

I have stayed at the Sebel in Launceston recently which was quiet good but agree the sell off to other chains by Accor is a disgrace to members who travel to tassie frequently. Myself included.
