Not a big deal, but posting in case others may be impacted to a greater degree and not know it - I track all of my points earning and burning across all programs in a spreadsheet, and today as I was updating it I realised that my points total was 4,000 points out from Accor's points total for my account. I usually check that it sums up so I know I haven't missed any transactions, but I suspect I neglected to do that for Accor anytime this year.
By way of an independent calculation, I straight copied and pasted the Points Statement page (remember to expand every year on the page first) and then did a sum of the column with points earn (which should end up being Column C). I got this:
On the Accor website, I get this:
Status points and nights add up fine, although that's not as hard, they only apply since 1st Jan whereas the points are coughulative. I sent a query to Accor who replied within 10 mins and told me they had thoroughly investigated and everything was fine (uh huh). Just thought it might be an interesting exercise for others to see if you too have been "accored" too.
I do have one solitary 4,000 point transaction across all of my history, it was a cancelled points booking - I have a sneaking suspicion that it is the responsible transaction however Accor helpfully pointed out that it is there in the Points Statement, so it must be calculated correctly.
