i was going to book a hotel thro accorhotels just then. i really want to book a sofitel since it is for my friends bday. then, i saw the sign saying 'not accepting le club cards'.
i am just wondering what is the point of having the brand and not participating the program.

i reckon we just stop going there since we cant even earn a bloody point.
the non participating hotels are shown in here: http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/leclub/pdf/hotels_exception.pdf
basically 2 sofitels in qld and 3 novoltels in nsw is not in the programme
it says nothing about Mirvac hotels tho. also wondering what they are going to do with those hotels and mirvac's own programme.

I've seen that every now and then with Novotel's but never with a Sofitel. Could it be the date you've chosen? Sometimes hotel use of loyalty cards (especially Accor) when a special promo or busy season is occuring. I know Sofitel Melbourne never have an issue with them from my past experiences, though Novotel Melbourne does

I'm aware that Sofitel Brisbane doesn't participate. When I stayed there previously it didn't particularly worry me as I didn't have much status and the program was pretty weak anyway. However recently I have enjoyed the platinum benefits at Sofitel Melbourne, so now not recognising the program would influence my decision in booking a hotel.

Sofitel Brisbane is not an accor owned hotel and only licences the sofitel name.

Very disappointed when I stayed there after receiving my air France status match (as it was mentioned on ausbt).

Sent from my GT-I9300T using AustFreqFly

So is Sofitel Gold Coast as it also does not participate in the Le Club program. But besides this, Le club is probably the worst loyalty program in the hotel industry... the benefits are meagre and the hotels are nothing much to talk about excepting a few properties here and there.

It's really disappointing that MOST of the hotels globally that don't participate in the program are located in Australia...

May not be on a list but try to make a booking in Brisbane and it certainly shows that they are not in the accor scheme of things

I was insinuating that Head office were behind the eight ball!

Could not agree more. Accor are an absolute disaster for communication too. I too was caught by the "no points" in Queenstown a couple of months ago. Priority. Points much better value.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
