Accor's Shopping Portal - Worth It?

I received an email earlier today for Accor Collections, their online shopping portal which enables you to earn valuable Accor points when you shop at online retailers like Apple, L'Occitane, Rebel and Asos. Right now they're running a promotion where you can earn up to 40% more Accor points at the portal. For instance, you can earn 2 Accor points per dollar spent at the Apple online store. Doing the math on this, that would mean you would earn 2000 Accor points per $1,000 spent at the Apple Store which could be used for €40 off a stay (approximately $61) which works out to a "cash back" of 6%, not bad! By contrast, QF's online shopping portal offers just 3 QFF points per $ spent.

Is this a good deal or am I missing something here?
