Does anyone know if I can add my ABN to a booking after it's been made with Virgin.

I booked a flight using a friend's travel bank as he is unable to use it. Fare basis: LZFL0/FFC - I can see one reward business class seat and booked in Flex but they won't let me use one of my platinum upgrades.

Any comments?

Do you mean turn it into a Virgin Business booking, as if originally made through the Business portal? No you can’t add the ABN after booking but if you email the business section they will record it and turn the booking into a Virgin Business booking.

if that’s right, I’ll post the email address when I get home.

edit: just re-read your post and this may not be what you’re after, sorry.

Yes I'd like to turn it into a Business booking. Email would be great thanks

I e-mailed [email protected] with a list of up-coming and past flights I booked through the regular web site, asking for my ABN to be inserted and credited as Business Flyer flights. I noted I was the account Key Contact.

I got a reply same day (!!) repeating the PNRs I requested and saying yes, they the future flights will be credited as business flyer flights and I should claim the past flights via 'claim missing points' in the Rewards portal. All were credited appropriately.

They won't appear on the Business Flyer 'upcoming flights' list though.
