Adelaide Wine Tour

I thought I would put up this post now as I have been organising a little excursion to Adelaide for next week and as the week draws closer I now see I have a few spaces available if any AFF-er would like to join me.

On Wednesday 16th March I have booked an 8-seater coach/van with a driver to take my father and I to the McLaren Vale. A family friend who lives in Adelaide is also expected to join us. That means, at this stage I have up to 6 spare seats, however I have asked another two friends if they are interested in joining me already and am waiting to hear back from them. The more that come, the cheaper the coach will be, split between everyone. The currently planned itinerary is:

• 0900 Leave Adelaide from the Sofitel
• 1000 First tasting at Leconfield
• 1130 Second tasting at Wirra Wirra
• 1230 Lunch at Wirra Wirra
• 1400 Third tasting at Coriole
• 1700 Arrive back to Sofitel at latest

On Thursday 17th March I have booked an 8-seater coach/van with a driver to take my father and I to the Barossa Valley. Three friends have already taken additional seats on this tour and a family friend in Adelaide is also expected to join us. That means, at this stage I have up to 3 spare seats. Same deal as before. The currently planned itinerary is:

• 0900 Leave Adelaide from the Sofitel
• 1100 First tasting at Rockford
• 1245 Lunch at Calabria Wines, followed by tasting if time
• 1500 Third tasting at Rojomoma
• 1700 Arrive back to Sofitel at latest

The price of the coach came to $492.53 each day, so the price of a ticket on either day will vary based on how many join. It is currently $164 each on Wednesday, but $98.50 each on Thursday, and could be as low as $61.56 each on either day.

If you're interested, let me know and I'll try keep this thread updated best I can as those I've already asked either confirm or pass.

In terms of meeting for drinks/dinner, I've got a dinner for 6 booked at Africola on the Wednesday evening, with at least one AFF-er attending, leaving 2 free spots if anyone is keen, otherwise will amend the booking to 4 closer to the date. Looking at Shobosho another night, as it's been too long!

I arrive Tuesday, leave on Friday.

Would love to come but have been experiencing severe back pain for several months. Slowly improving now, but too soon for a trip such as this.
