Hi all,
I'm on QF 420 on 11/5/2010, and while it was originally slated to be an A332, it now appears there's been an equipment change to a 763. I made a seat allocation when I booked, but that's now gone. And if I go into my bookings through the QFF website, it says: "Your flight is not eligible for seat selection however you can nominate aisle or window seat preference." However, if I try to nominate my preference, I get another error, and it's not recorded if I go back to my bookings.
Is all this normal with equipment changes? We're past T-80 hours now, so should I expect any change before on-line checkin opens at T-24 hours? And even then, will seat assignment work again?
*** 5 minutes later ***
Okay, scrub all that, I'm an idiot. I'd been looking at the booking with the FJ codes, instead of the QF codes (since the booking is for MEL-SYD-NAN and vv., with SYD-NAN on FJ). When I look at the correct booking, I can allocate my seats just fine.
I'll post this anyway, in case anyone else runs into this and wonders what's going on.
Thanks,
TimB.
