Good evening,

We’ll need a rear-facing infant seat on arrival at Denver International Airport, for a two week car rental.

We usually book with Hertz, but they’ve been totally uninterested in telling me anything about their child seats. (The internet says it’s hit and miss, and mostly miss.)

Anybody know whether/which Hertz rental cars are LATCH-compatible (the equivalent of Isofix)? Any? All? None?

My current plan is to buy an infant seat in NYC, where we’ll be beforehand, and check it on our flight to DIA, then install it in our rental car. Then off we go.

For two weeks, Hertz wants $14/day, so it’s worth purchasing a new one anyway (Target has decent ones for a hundred bucks). My main concern is installing it…

Good plan? Bad plan? Got a better plan?

Much obliged for your assistance.

Kind regards,

SBD

I have purchased and installed the last 2 times there and have never had a problem......once from hertz in san Francisco.

Thank you, Deejo77.

Was the recent Hertz vehicle LATCH-compatible, or did you need to use seat belts to install?

Kind regards,

SBD

Try Alamo. They had a lot of car seats available when we rented in Miami. Ours were forward facing though and didn't notice if they had rear facing or not. They also include CDW insurance for Australians if you book via Au website.
