The QR backed Air Italy (QR owned 49% shareholding) has moved into liquidation.

Another one bites the dust in Europe. Echos of EY's various failed European ventures, such as Alitalia (which somehow, I guess through government support, continues to fly despite being bankrupt more than once).

I wonder if this will give Alitalia a little bit of a boost in the short term?

I notice airlines have their hands out for free money. I hope the Aust govt says there is no money for loans not from Australian banks in Australian AUD. Lease payments in USD or debt swap stuff to tax havens does not need taxpayer monies.
