MEL was closed to inbound flights for a while around 0930 - 1000 hours on Monday 14 January 2019 due to what AFF member Ansett suggests - thank you - was the ATC tower having to be evacuated.
NZ123 looks to be diverting to SYD, even though inbound flights were able to land from about 1001 hours. This aircraft B773ER ZK-OKO had taken off from AKL at 0908 hours, on time, but will now be hours later into MEL than its timetabled 1055 hours. It looks like it will arrive SYD at about that time.
